When a criminal organization comes to Gotham Bruce knows he must find a way to stop them
A young Bruce Wayne takes action in ‘Batman: Nightwalker’
I have been lucky to read a few Batman graphic novels lately. Some have been quite dark, but that was one thing that made them great. A few have even welcomed new members into the Batman family. While others have taken this hero to another dimension entirely. When I heard about Batman: Nightwalker I hoped I would get a chance to read it. I was able to get a digital copy of this graphic novel and this is what I thought of it.
You can read the plot for Batman Nightwalker here:
A new ruthless gang of criminals known only as Nightwalkers are terrorizing Gotham and the city’s elite are being taken out one by one. On the way home from his eighteenth birthday party, newly-minted billionaire Bruce Wayne makes an impulsive choice that puts him in their crosshairs and lands him in Arkham Asylum, the once infamous psychiatric hospital. There, he meets Madeleine Wallace, a brilliant killer…and Bruce’s only hope. Madeleine is the mystery Bruce must unravel, but is he convincing her to divulge her secrets, or is he feeding her the information she needs to bring Gotham City to its knees?
I had a great time reading this graphic novel. Bruce Wayne was younger and just getting into fighting for his city. At first he tries a calmer approach, but finds out quickly it doesn’t work that well. It wasn’t until he took a more aggressive stance that things started to work out. Stopping this enemy wasn’t going to be easy, thankfully he wasn’t going to be doing it alone. If you are a fan of Batman then this is a graphic novel you will want to read.
